Web.Com Tour reaches American soil

The Web.com Tour begins its 2013 domestic schedule this week when the Chitimacha Louisiana Open is played the Le Triomphe Country Club in Broussard in Louisiana.

Following three events through Panama, Colombia and Chile, the Tour, rather strangely, heads back to Brasil for the next event after this week's tournament before returning for the remainder of the season to North America.

This week's field though is at full strength with those eligible but not prepared to play the early season events now keen to get into action.

With the PGA Tour event in Orlando a restricted field event, this week's field contains several PGA Tour players including local Heath Slocum, D.J Trahan and Steve Bowditch.

Australasians who will play the event are Nick O'Hern, Ashley Hall, Steve Bowditch, Mathew Goggin, Adam Crawford, Nathan Green, Nick Flanagan, Gavin Coles, Bronson La Cassie, and New Zealanders Danny Lee and Tim Wilkinson.

Goggin currently heads the Australians on the 2013 money list. After five events he is in 57th position with US$70,000 in earnings.
