Web.Com Brasil event delayed

Weather has delayed the second round of the Brasil Champions event in Sao Paulo, Brazil, but despite nearly half the field yet to complete round two, one man has dominated the event to date and appears likely to do so as the event eventually heads into the final 36 holes.

26 year old American, Jon Curran, after rounds of 61 and 64 has opened up a five shot lead over Colombian Andres Echavarria with recent winner Alex Cejka one shot further back.

Ashley Hall leads the Australians in 7th position although the Victorian has another eight holes to improve or lose ground when he returns on Saturday morning.

Another Australian to make a move on day two was Peter Lonard who was 6 under through 13 holes when play was called for the day. Lonard could use a good week as he looks to gain further status on the Web.Com Tour to enable a full schedule in 2014.

Cameron Percy and Steve Allan are next best placed of the Australians in a share of 18th.
