31 year old Cox, from the Blue Mountains west of Sydney, added a final round of 70 to win by three over NSW's Steve Jeffress with Victorians Brad Lamb, John Wade and Leigh Deagan, Queenslander Brett Rankin, NSW's Grant Scott, Neven Basic, and amateurs Dimitrios Papadatos (NSW) and Tom Bon (SA) three shots further back in a share of 3rd and rounding out the all important top ten.
This group have earned the all important Category 11 cards for the 2013 PGA Tour of Australasia which ensures the right to play in essentially all PGA Tour of Australasia events.
The remaining players who made it through to the final 54 holes have all earned varying levels of status on the Tour.
Players who made the most progress over the final two rounds were New Zealander Josh Geary and veteran Glenn Joyner. Both Geary (14th) and Joyner (22nd) improved from the cut score of 9 over after 36 holes to earn themselves at least a reasonable level of status in Australasian golf this season.
Players who let good starts slip from their grasp included Daniel Nisbet and Brendan Chant who led after day one before eventually finishing 31st and 36th respectively.
Former USPGA Tour members, David Lutterus (13th), Bradley Hughes (17th), Euan Walters (24th) and Phil Tataurangi (49th) have Australasian Tour status back.
