The Canadian Amateur Championship has completed 36 of its 72 holes at the Royal Ottawa Golf Club in Gatineau in Quebec and three Australians have made the cut headed by NSW’s Travis Smyth.

Smyth, a member of the successful NSW’s Interstate side and runner-up at this year's Australian Amateur Championship, added a second round of 69.

Smyth is in a share of 5th position at 3 under par and six shots from the lead held by Canadian Blair Bursey while WA’s Daniel Gale is 28th and NSW’s Dale Williamson 50th.

Zach Murray and Austin Bautista missed out on the final 36 holes by just one shot.
