Tour: South West Ireland golf trail

THE Emerald Isle not only features a collection of classic, world class golf courses but is complemented by one of the friendliest peoples.

OF all the golf destinations in the world Ireland might be the most complete. The Emerald Isle not only features a collection of classic, world class golf courses but is complemented by one of the friendliest peoples on the planet.

All of which makes this seven night Irish golf odyssey the stuff of dreams for the golf purist.

In the first leg of the journey you'll get to experience golf from every angle with a round each at the classic Waterville Golf Links as well as the Arnold Palmer designed Tralee and the modern and spectacular Old Head Links.

After four nights at the Malton Hotel you'll move on to Doonbeg Lodge where you'll play the Greg Norman designed course of the same name as well as two of the world's truly great golf experiences: the Ballybunion and Lahinch Old Courses.

Five times Open champion Tom Watson has nominated Ballybunion as one of his favourite golf courses in the world while Lahinch is a true gem, designed by Old Tom Morris himself.

To play golf in Ireland is to experience the game, and life, the way it is meant to be.
