Australian Todd Sinnott shares the opening round lead at the Final Stage of Qualifying for the Asian Tour in Bangkok after producing a round of 64 late in the day to join American William Cannon in the lead.

Sinnott, one of Australia’s best amateurs before turning professional, has compiled a series of solid finishes in his first two years as a professional but the chance to access the Asian Tour in 2017 could help the long hitting Victorian to the level many believe he can reach.

Richard Green 11th, Adam Blyth and Nathan Miller 19th are the next best of the Australians after round one of the event.

The leading 35 players and ties earn the right to play in Asia this year.
