Tiger's Stinger: Still Got It

Tiger Woods' effort to rouse media and fan interest ahead of a potential return to competitive play before the end of the year has gone up another notch.

Woods today continued his recent theme of Twitter updates, this time posting a video of himself hitting his trademark 'stinger'.

The video is the third down-the-line swing clip released by the former World Number One this month and follows an iron swing two weeks ago and a driver update last week.

One week ago, Woods announced that he had been cleared by doctors to resume a full practise schedule.

With each new swing, speculation grows that Woods is planning a return to competition sooner than later and many now believe that will happen at his own Hero World Challenge event in the Bahamas in December.

It was at that event in 2016 that Woods chose to make his most recent comeback before playing three official events to kick off 2017.

That came to an abrupt halt, however, when he withdrew from the Dubai Desert Classic in February suffering back spasms after an opening round of 77 and the announcement he had undergone a fourth back surgery came in April.
