WITH Tiger Woods putting his swing on public display in recent days speculation has been mounting about a possible comeback, but the former World Number One is emphatically denying it will happen soon.
At a clinic in Las Vegas for his Foundation this week, which was broadcast live on the social media platform Periscope, Woods was asked by a member of the audience when he would be teeing up in competition again.
His answer left little room for conjecture.
“Dude,” he said, “if I could tell you, I would because I'm sick and tired of being on the sidelines.
“I want to start competing against these boys.”
Woods them calmly striped one off the tee to rapturous applause.
Despite widespread speculation, Woods definitely won't return at this week's Wells Fargo Championship at Quail Hollow.
However, some still believe he may play either The Players or Memorial events as preparation for a planned assault on the US Open at Oakmont Country Club in June.
