Su Oh leads Australians through 54 holes at Kingsbarns

Victorian Su Oh continued her progress from a slow start to the Ricoh Women’s British Open at Kingsbarns Golf Links in Scotland, a second consecutive 69 seeing her as the leading Australian as the event moves into tomorrow’s final round.

Oh is in 40th position and although a massive 13 shots from leader, I.K. Kim, she has done well to recover from her opening round of 74 which threatened to destroy her chances of even making the weekend.

Oh was making good progress through 11 holes today with four birdies and one bogey during that stretch but she was unable to advance her cause from there, playing her final seven holes in even par for her round of 3 under.

The other Australian to make the cut, Katherine Kirk, is in 56th position and two shots behind Oh, a third round of 72 had the Queenslander treading water after starting the day in that same position.

Other Australians Sarah Jane Smith, Minjee Lee, Karrie Webb, Whitney Hillier and Stacey Peters all missed the cut after yesterday’s second round.
