Queensland based Victorian, Steven Jones, has continued his recent good form by winning the Sunshine Tour's Red Sironen Constructions Ballina Pro Am today.

Earlier this month Jones won the Oxley Pro Am, finished 4th at Virginia and 3rd at the Royal Queensland Pro Am.

Jones' round was good enough for a two stroke victory over Tod Power with a further shot back to Mitchell Brown who shot the best score of the morning field.

It has been a rough 12 months for Jones, but there a real signs he getting back his game that have taken him to international tours in the past. "It has been a rough year, but it is nice to see that the hard work that I am doing with my coach Kev Healey is really starting to pay off," said Jones.

"This is my third victory in the last month, with two of my rounds being course records, so it is great to be hitting this sought of form only weeks out to the start of the Australasian Tour."

The run to the Order of Merit title has tightened again today with Brad Andrews picking up two valuable points to draw even closer to current leader Grant Scott.

Professionals will now make their way to the Murwillumbah Pro Am tomorrow, before heading back down the coast for the 2 day Yamba Pro Am starting on Friday.
