Riding in Carts with Caddies

Swedish player Daniela Holmqvist and her caddie during last week's Australian Ladies Classic Bonville.
Last week's Australian Ladies Classic Bonville featured a mode of transport almost never seen at the professional level: carts.

Competitors at the Ladies European Tour and ALPG Tour co-sanctioned event at Bonville Golf Resort drove from shot to shot with some sharing driving duties with their caddies on a layout which tournament officials considered too steep to walk.

While some may call it a pragmatic way to get around a course with challenging terrain, other golfing purists would likely feel otherwise.

Question: If you have the option to walk or ride in a cart during a round of golf, which do you generally prefer?
