Pressel has not won an LPGA Tour event since 2008 but she went very close at the recent Sisters of Swing event in San Francisco where she lost to Lydia Ko.
"I feel like I'm in a good place, and I'm there, and no matter what happens tomorrow, I'm happy with my game and the direction that I'm heading," said Pressel today. "Tomorrow is not the end of the world one way or the other, but I'm going to go out there and give it my best shot."
For Pressel it is a major turnaround in her previous record in this particular tournament having missed three of her last four cuts.
Minjee Lee is the leading Australian in 26th position with former winner, Karrie Webb the next best in 35th.
