PING's new G Series drivers and woods

PING engineers analyzed the dragonfly’s intricate wing pattern for the new G Series Drivers and Fairway Woods.

INSPIRED by an approach called biomimicry, PING engineers studied the dragonfly's complex wing pattern to design ultra-thin crown sections for extreme CG and maximized MOI in our longest, most forgiving driver ever.

The lowest, deepest CG of any PING driver generates greater distance by increasing dynamic loft on both axes for maximizing forgiveness.

Vortec Technology on the back of the Ti 8-1-1 head minimizes turbulent wake during the downswing for faster clubhead speed with stability and forgiveness.

Crown turbulators and Vortec Technology contribute to reduce drag 37% through the impact zone for sizeable distance gains from all swing speeds.

The variable-thickness T9S face has a high strength-to-weight ratio, allowing for a thin face to further increase ball speed.

To fine-tune your launch conditions prior to a round, adjust the loft up to ±1° using Trajectory Tuning 2.0, which utilizes a lightweight, aerodynamically efficient and high-strength 7075 aluminum hosel sleeve.

G drivers are available in three models to fit your desired trajectory: G Standard, G SF Tec (Straight-Flight Technology), and G LS Tec (Low-Spin Technology).

Faster Design:

  • Speed generating aerodynamics reduce drag 37% and increase carry distance 3-4 yards

T9S Titanium Face:

  • Thinner, hotter for max deflection and distance

PING G Driver SideFaster Clubhead and Ball Speeds:

  • Turbulator Technology, VorTec and face/crown transition combine for more efficient airflow

Trajectory Tuning Technology:

  • 5-lobe hosel sleeve allows 1 degree of loft adjustment

Dragonfly Technology:

  • Ultra-thin crown sections save 8 grams of weight to optimise CG and MOI

Lowest, Deepest CG and Highest MOI:

  • PING's longest, straightest driver delivers forgiveness and consistency

Vortec #8482; Technology:

  • Minimises wake turbulence for faster clubhead speed and stabilises

Getting the ball in the air can be a challenge with fairway woods, but not with the G series.

A lower lead edge helps slide the clubface under the ball so impact occurs higher on the face (12% higher than G30).

Weight saved by thinning the crown was used to lower the CG, increase forgiveness, and make it easy to get the ball airborne, even when struck low on the face.

Carpenter 455 steel has a high strength-to-weight ratio, allowing for a thinner, variable-thickness, precision-machined face that increases flexing for fast ball speeds, high launch and greater distance.

A unique process adds friction to the face to reduce spin.

In addition to the standard 3-, 5-, and 7-woods, G fairway woods are available in Straight-Flight Technology versions and G Stretch 3-wood.

The SF Tec 3- and -5 woods have a CG closer to the heel to provide right-to-left spin (for right-handed golfers) and steer the ball back into the fairway.

The G Stretch 3-wood is engineered to stretch your distance off the tee and on shots into the green with its larger head, slightly forward CG, 13º loft, and lower spin.

To fine tune your launch conditions prior to a round, adjust the loft up to ±1° using Trajectory Tuning 2.0, which utilizes a lightweight, aerodynamic and high-strength 7075 aluminum hosel sleeve.

Crown turbulators give the ball a captured appearance and aid in alignment.

Turbulator Technology:

  • Accurate alignment, captured look, more aerodynamic

Easy to Get Airborne:

  • Low profile lead edge design and optimised CG for higher launch and more forgiveness

PING G 3 Wood Top

Longer, More Forgiving:

  • Carpenter 455 Face and tiered internal sole design increases face bending for higher launching, longer results

Lower Lead Edge:

  • Sits closer to ground and moves impact area higher on face for more solid contact 25%

Thinner Crown:

  • Weight savings (7 grams) lower CG and raise MOI

Stretch 3-Wood:

  • Larger head (184cc vs. 167cc) and deeper CG

Atlas High-Balance Point Shaft:

  • More energy, momentum and inertia means long, straight shots
