Pettersen the standout in Portland

The LPGA Tour heads to Portland in Oregon for this week's Portland Classic Presented by Cambia Health Solutions where Suzann Pettersen is the standout given the fact that she has won this event twice in the past three years.

Pettersen's recent form would also suggest she is ready to win again at the Columbia Edgewater Golf Club.

Pettersen would perhaps have been the favourite event with the world numbers one two and three in the field but Stacy Lewis, Inbee Park and Lydia Ko are absent "“ perhaps readying themselves for the Evian Masters in France in two weeks.

Last weeks' winner in Canada So Yeon Ryu is in the field however and coming off the back of her great win last week she could challenge Pettersen, especially given she finished 4th in this event two years ago.

Last week's runner-up, Na Yeon Choi is one of the others who could be considered logical favourites.

Australians in the field are Lindsey Wright, Sarah Jane Smith, Julia Boland, Stacey Keating and Sarah Kemp with perhaps Wright the best chance given some improving form of late.
