The LPGA Tour is in Mobile in Alabama this week for the Mobile Bay Classic and although the game's hottest player, Yani Tseng, is not in the field, the event has brought together a strong line-up headed by the female game's number two golfer, Na Yeon Choi.

The RTJ Golf Trail's Crossings layout at Magnolia Grove in Mobile is again the venue as it has been since the inaugural staging of the event in 2008.

Choi has played well enough this season, finishing runner-up on two occasions and has played this event well in the past. She will start as the favourite although world number three Suzann Pettersen will no doubt have her share of admirers.

Pettersen has finished third, second and 10th in her three starts at this venue and while not at the peak of her game this season she is not far from it. Her 6th place finish in Hawaii last week was her best finish of the season and it would not surprise to see her do even better this week.

The usual line-up of Australians are playing this week namely Karrie Webb, Katherine Hull, Lindsey Wright, Wendy Doolan, Sarah Jane Smith and Sarah Kemp.
