Park leads delayed Kingsmill

Korean Hee Young Park leads the LPGA's Kingsmill Championship Presented by JTBC at the Kingsmill Resort's River Course in Virginia, although a number of players are still to finish of their second round and will be required to return to the course early on Saturday morning.

The 26 year old Park has not recorded a top ten in nearly nine months and actually missed at the recent North Texas Shootout so her form to date this week is a turnaround.

Park leads by one over the ever present Stacy Lewis, Brittany Lang, Lexi Thompson, Azaharo Munoz and Lizette Salas.

A victory by Lewis this week would all but assure her of gaining the number one status in the game, a deserved reward for an amazingly consistent run over the past twelve months.

Katherine Kirk continued her recent improvement and is in a share of 7th position to lead the Australasians at present while Lydia Ko and Sarah Jane Smith are tied for 25th.
