Ogilvy - one of International Team captain Ernie Els' assistants - is playing at this week's New Zealand Open in Queenstown and said Fox's stock has risen dramatically since his breakthrough at the European Tour's World Super 6 Perth two weeks ago.
"Ernie (Els) and I and others involved get emails every Monday and discussing all the internationals and how they are playing," Ogilvy said.
"Ryan is in that conversation with 20 or 30 guys and he moved much more into the conversation with his win in Perth."
32-year-old Fox is currently 22nd on the International Team standings with a host of Australians ahead of him: Lucas Herbert (20th), Jason Scrivener (19th), Adam Scott (9th), Jason Day (8th), Cameron Smith (2nd) and Marc Leishman (1st).

The leading 8 players on the Presidents Cup International Team standings as of August 25 will earn automatic selection for Royal Melbourne and four captain’s picks will complete the 12-man side.
Fox has never played in the Presidents Cup and surged to a career-high world ranking of 66th following his victory in Perth
"It would be great for Ryan to be involved," Ogilvy said. "We have not had a New Zealander involved since Danny Lee [in 2015]."
"Being down [in Melbourne] it would be brilliant to have it full of Kiwis and Aussies. It's great, Ryan is on the radar for sure."
