Minjee Lee in the hunt again in Singapore

Australia’s Minjee Lee is one of five leaders at the completion of day one of the HSBC Women’s World Championship in Singapore, a round of 4 under 68 having her tied with Ariya Jutanugarn, Amy Olson, Yu Liu and the recent Vic Open winner Celine Boutier.

Another seven players are tied for 5th place and just one behind the lead including the recent Australian Open runner-up Jin Young Ko.

Lee birdied three of her last four holes to catch her playing partner today, Jutanugarn, the pair in the final group out on day one and catching those who finished earlier with strong finishes to their rounds.

Lee finished runner-up last week in Thailand and was runner-up to Jutanugarn on last year’s LPGA Tour money list and it may just be that the pair are battling for this title come Sunday.

Sarah Jane Smith is 51st and Su Oh 56th are the other Australians in the field.
