Maverick Antcliff wins Rice Planters

Queensland golfer, Maverick Antcliff, is the Rice Planters Champion for 2013, defeating Austin Cody in a playoff at the Snee Farm Country Club in Mount Pleasant in South Carolina.

Antcliff, currently at the Augusta State, recorded a final round of 66 to catch Cody who is a member of the golf team at Duke University.

Antcliff, played for Augusta State for the first time in season 2013 after being forced to wait over a year for his paperwork to be completed.

The Rice Planters has a history going back to the mid 1970's and has an honour role that includes several major champions.
