TODAY we’re going to look at your posture and how we can challenge your posture to make it more stable and reliable on the golf course.
In a previous video We’ve I showed you a good way to practise getting into the right posture for golf using just a club.
A really nice way to increase the challenge of that drill and progress it even further is to try doing it on one leg.
There are a few advantages to being on one leg because it challenges your balance as well as your core muscles and hip muscles to maintain your pelvic alignment and spinal alignment.
Thus drill is exactly like the original one where you put the club touching the back of the head, between the shoulder blades and the base of the spine.
Now lift one of your legs and then continue the next part of the drill where we lean forward into our golf posture.
You’ll find it’s a bit of a challenge to maintain your balance throughout this but with practise that will improve.
I like to see people try to do 10 of these on one leg and then switch sides and do 10 on the other.
If you can master this challenge I can promise you it will really improve your posture on the golf course which will become a lot more reliable and a lot more stable.
