US based Australian Mark Hensby has finished in a share of 6th position at the Barbasol Championship in Auburn in Alabama, the 42 year old unable to convert the many opportunities he created for himself during his last round of 70.

It was a frustrating day for Hensby who hit nearly every fairway and green during the final day but as a result of his 6th place finish he now has the opportunity to play next week's Canadian Open at Glenn Abbey near Toronto.

It was Hensby's first start on the PGA Tour in two years and so while his final day was disappointing there was a lot to take out of the week for the former John Deere Classic winner and Presidents Cup player.

The tournament was won by Scott Piercy who recorded his third PGA Tour triumph with his three shot victory over Will Wilcox.

Aaron Baddeley tied for 10th
