Rising star Curtis Luck will head to the weekend of the Web.com Tour event in South America just one shot off the pace after a second consecutive 2-under round at the Panama Golf Club.

Round two play was suspended due to darkness with a handful of groups still to finish but at 4-under-par there is little chance of any of those overtaking him.

With scoring conditions difficult Luck was one of only a dozen players to break 70 with four birdies and two bogeys on his card.

“We played a lot of events down there (on the east coast of Australia) as amateurs, which is good preparation for weeks like this,” Luck told the Web.com our website after his round.

“I don’t think anyone feels comfortable playing in these conditions, but I feel like I’ve had some good practice.”

Luck is one shot behind Argentina’s Nelson Ledesma and one ahead of Americans Eric Axley and Edward Loar in the third event of the 2018 Web.com Tour season.

Cameron Davis, the leading Australian overnight, is also in the top 10 after adding an even par 70 to his first round 69 to be 1-under for the week and T9

Rhein Gibson is T46 after a 1-under 69 to be 3-over while Mathew Goggin, Jamie Arnold and Brett Drewitt have all missed the cut.
