Peter Lonard has fallen well off the pace at the KitchenAid Senior PGA Championship in Michigan, a third round of 73 on a day of mainly low scoring having him in 32nd position as the event heads into tomorrow’s final round at Harbor Shores in Benton Harbor.

Lonard bogeyed his opening four holes today before birdies at the 5th and 6th went some way to restoring the balance. He would also birdie the 11th but a bogey at the last sees him ten shots off leaders, Scott McCarron and Tim Petrovic.

The leaders are two clear of England's Paul Broadhurst in Senior golf's second major of the year

Peter Fowler is 68th and David McKenzie, the only other Australian to make the cut, is 69th.

McKenzie began the tournament well with an opening 68 but consecutive rounds of 74 since have seen him fall well down the leaderboard.
