With Oda and Fujimoto playing together in the final group, both were tied playing the final hole but an eagle at the par five saw Oda snatch the title.
Defending champion Brad Kennedy staged a valiant effort to retain his title but came up three shots short and in a tie for 3rd position. Following on from his 5th position at his last start at the Crowns, Kennedy now appears to be on track after a slow start to the Japan Tour season.
Adam Bland finished 26th, Stephen Leaney 36th, Steven Jefress and Matthew Guyatt 42nd, Michael Hendry after a disastrous weekend was 49th and Richard Tate 67th.
The Japan Tour now plays the Gateway to the Open Mizuno Open which also happens to be a qualifying event for the Open Championship
