Queensland’s Karis Davidson, in her second season on the Japan Ladies Golf Tour, has today shown considerable improvement on her season to date with a 6th place finish at the World Ladies Championship Salonpas Cup.

20-year old Davidson’s JLPGA season in 2019 has been well below her capabilities, despite better recent showings, with just one top twenty in seven starts but this week’s finish and the accompanying A$60,000 (equivalent) moves her to 36th on the money list, an improvement from 65th last week.

Davidson finished 40th on the 2018 money list in her rookie season and this week's finish takes her earnings for the 2019 season to A$95,000 (equivalent).

It was Davidson’s second-best finish in her career to date on the Japan Ladies Golf Tour.

The tournament was won by Japan’s Hinako Shibuno who moves to second place on the money list behind former Women's Australian Open and Australian Ladies Masters Champion Jiyai Shin.
