Walker claimed his second PGA Tour victory of 2015 and his 5th in the last eighteen months when he won the event by four shots over Jordan Spieth with a further three shots back to Billy Horschel.
Leading into the final day Walker was always in control and although Spieth closed the gap on occasions he never really threatened to challenge the leader.
Walker will move to 10th on the World Ranking and now leads both the Money List and Fedex Cup Points table.
With an 8th place finish on debut at Augusta National last year, Walker must now enter favouritism for next week's Masters.
Spieth moved to his highest world ranking moving past Adam Scott and Jason Day into 4th position and he too with a runner-up finish on debut at Augusta last year must be looking ahead to Thursday week with his mouth watering.
Leading the Australians was Cameron Percy who finished in 15th position, his best result in his return to the PGA Tour after a year on the Web.Com Tour in 2014.
Aaron Baddeley was 20th and Matt Jones 26th.
