Lyle, who revealed in late July that he was facing a third battle with leukaemia, took to Instagram to spread the positive development.
"Just got the best news for a while. I am in remission! Back to hospital next week for more chemo but we couldn't be happier right now," Lyle wrote.
Lyle, who turned 36 earlier this week, was admitted to Royal Melbourne Hospital last month after a routine blood test returned abnormal results before being diagnosed with leukaemia.
Lyle - who competed in 121 PGA Tour events between 2006 and 2016 - has twice overcome leukaemia previously, once in 1998 and again in 2012.
In September last year, Lyle, after missing out on securing his PGA Tour card, announced he would no longer compete in the US and was returning to Australia to be with family and compete locally.
