Weekly Reader Poll

How Short Do You Want Your Shortest Hole?

A 90-metre hole will be part of the action this week at Lake Karrinyup in Perth.
An endangered golfing species goes under the international spotlight this week in Perth.

And it's not a human form but rather the presence of a sub 100-metre par-three.

The World Super 6 Perth begins on Thursday at Lake Karrinyup Country Club in the Western Australian capital.

The Australasian, Asian and European Tour co-sanctioned event blends stroke play with a series of six-hole match play contests.

Any matches that can't be decided over six holes extend to sudden death using a purpose-built 90-metre 'Shootout Hole' played from a new tee near to Lake Karrinyup's existing 18th green.

Are you a fan of par-threes under 100 metres? Are you tired of playing longer par-threes where you struggle to hit the green let alone get your ball close to the pin? Take part in this week's Weekly Reader Poll below.

Question: What distance should a golf course's shortest par-3 measure?
  • Less than 100 metres
  • 100-120 metres
  • 121-140 metres
  • 141-160 metres
  • 161-180 metres
  • 181-200 metres
  • More than 200 metres
