A hole in one in his opening round of the Korn Ferry Tour’s TPC Colorado Championship at Heron Lakes in Colorado has assisted Victorian golfer Brett Coletta to one of his better starts of the year on the PGA Tour’s feeder tour, the 23 year old looking to build on his current 66th place on the Korn Ferry Tour.

The newly named tour takes over from the Web.Com Tour and Coletta, who has missed his last six cuts this season, is looking to rediscover the form which saw him finish 3rd at the Savannah Golf Championship earlier this season and that which saw him win the Queensland Open while still an amateur and finish runner-up at the NSW Open in 2016.

Coletta’s hole in one came at his 7th hole today, going on to finish with a round of 68 to be in a share of 6th place and two shots from the lead held by Argentine Nelson Ledesma.

Coletta shares 6th place with fellow countryman Jamie Arnold while another New South Welshman Brett Drewitt is 29th after his round of 70 and Rhein Gibson and Cameron Percy 72.
