Avondale Golf Club (Sydney) member, Harrison Endycott, continued a good season in amateur golf by today becoming the third Australian to win the prestigious Porter Cup at Niagara Falls.

Endycott came from four shots off Gavin Hall’s four shot 54 hole lead to win by one over Hall with a massive eight shots back to the 3rd placed Scott Harvey.

Endycott joins fellow Australians Simon Nash and Geoff Drakeford as winners of a trophy that includes the likes of Phil Mickelson, Ben Crenshaw and David Duval amongst its long list of winners.

Queensland’s Viraat Badhwar also had a good week when the Stanford University golfer shared Endycott’s best of the day round of 66 to finish in a share of 6th position.

Endycott finished runner-up at the recent Players Am after winning four events in succession at the start of the year in Australia and with this win will improve considerably on his current 21st placed ranking in world amateur golf.
