Hadwin edges Presnell at Chile Classic

Canadian Adam Hadwin has won the Web.Com Tour's Chile Classic, his first victory on the Web.Com Tour, but not without a titanic battle over the closing nine holes.

Hadwin won by one over Australian Alistair Presnell, birdies at the final two holes enough to secure him his first Web.Com Tour title.

Presnell, playing twenty minutes ahead of the eventual winner, had eagled the final hole of round four to set a target for Hadwin who then produced his great finish to take the title.

Presnell will earn US$65,000 and take a big early season step towards regaining his PGA Tour status having played at the higher level last year.

Of the other Australians, Ashley Hall finished 12th, Adam Crawford and Cameron Percy were 34th while Peter Lonard and Gavin Coles also made the cut but finished well back.

The Web.Com Tour now heads to Sao Paulo for the Brasil Champions event.
