Four Australians have finished inside the top 20 of the Japan golf Tour’s JGT Championship Mori Building Cup Shishido Hills 2018 in Ibaraki, Brad Kennedy the best when he tied for 5th.

For Kennedy it was his best finish in six starts in Japan this season although a final round of 72 left him four shots adrift of the winner, 36 year old, Kodai Ichihara, who would win his first Japan Tour title.

Brendan Jones finished in a share of 9th although a late double bogey today proved costly for the Canberra golfer.

Matthew Griffin was the next best in 12th place and Anthony Quayle 15th.

Jones remains in 13th position as the leading Australian on the 2018 Japan Tour money list
