Even World-Class Pros Have Air Swings

(Photo: PGA Tour)
Don't feel too bad the next time you have an air swing because it happens to the world's best.

Take reigning PGA Tour Player of the Year Justin Thomas.

The 24-year-old came into grief during the second round the Hero World Challenge in the Bahamas when his ball came to rest beside a small rock.

The results weren't pretty.

Thomas flipped his club around and, attempting to hit the ball with the back of his clubhead, took a swipe at his ball left-handed and missed the ball, collecting the rock instead.

The slow motion replay shows his ball only moved once the rock had been displaced.

It was a moment to forget for last year's PGA champion who finished with a respectable round of 70 to be 5 under after 36 holes and seven shots behind leader Charley Hoffman.
