At 2-under they trail leader Ben Taylor of England by 10 strokes but both have plenty to play for Sunday given their solid starts to the season.
Gibson is fifth on the money list with two top five finishes and a top 20 in three starts so far.
He is all but assured of making the end of season play-offs and will also have his sights firmly set on finishing inside the top 25 money leaders and earning a promotion to the PGA Tour next year.
Drewitt is presently eighth on the standings and also in good position to challenge for a PGA Tour card at the end of the year.
Both are forecast to lose ground this week given their positions on the leaderboard however good play tomorrow will minimise the damage.
