A PRACTISE putting drill has ended up becoming an internet sensation after Queensland golfer Matt Field caught a bizarre double hole out on video.
Field's remarkable feat came to light after a crazy putt from Greg Walker at Elie GC in Scotland prompted a call from the PGA of America's website for other nominations.
Field entered his video, filmed during his regular putting practise, and shot straight to the top of the list.
"Putting the two balls is just a part of my practice to make sure I've got the putter face square," he told PGA.com. "I got a bit bored so decided to try something different."
The hole-out was captured at Queensland's Brookwater Golf Club.
"Brookwater has a heavily sloped practice green so I thought 'why not?' The putt was about six feet, but I hit it about 20 feet past, up the hill and back in the hole. It took me about 10 attempts.
"The people on the club balcony thought I was a bit weird when I high-fived myself!" Field said.
