FRESH from clinching the winning point of the Ryder Cup at Gleneagles Europe's Jamie Donaldson wasn't looking so fresh the next day when he gave an interview under the influence.
Casually dressed in a bright-yellow hoodie, a hung-over Donaldson politely answers questions from the Sky Sports reporter.
"Are you able to take it in yet?" asked the reporter about Donaldson claiming the winning-point in the 2014 Ryder Cup.
"No," said Donaldson, "'cause I'm still drunk."
Respectfully, Donaldson continues with the interview and answers all the reporter's questions as best as he can.
Donaldson played American Keegan Bradley in Sunday's Ryder Cup singles matches.
With the Cup in Europe's grasp, Welshman Donaldson was 146 yards from the pin when he hit his approach shot on the 15th at Gleneagles.
The ball landed within inches of the hole and the boisterous crowd roared with excitement.
European captain Paul McGinley ran onto the fairway to congratulate Donaldson. USA captain Tom Watson, albeit less excited, did the same.
Once Bradley and Donaldson reached the green, the American officially conceded the match and Europe won the Ryder Cup for the third consecutive tournament.
The Europeans celebrated and the champagne flowed. Rory McIlroy's bottle even gave itself a head start on the festivities.
I swear this usually never happens!!!
