Donald leads Jones at Dunlop Phoenix

Luke Donald has maintained his four shot 36 hole lead through 54 holes of the Dunlop Phoenix tournament in Japan, but Australian Brendan Jones has moved into a share of second position following his third round of 67 yesterday.

After his brilliant start to the event,Donald tread water yesterday recording a round of even par to allow several golfer back in with a hope of catching the Englishman.

Jones shares second position with Shunsuke Sonoda, who, like Donald, could only record a round of even par after he too had made a great start to the event.

Jones will be keen to catch Donald as the ¥300 million ($A360,000) he would earn for what would be his third victory of the year would move him into second position on the money list and within striking distance of the current money list leader Hiroyuki Fujita.

Kurt Barnes is also doing well this week and finds himself in 12th position.
