Western Australian Curtis Luck has finished tied for 3rd place at the Final Stage of Qualifying for the 2018 Web.Com Tour and as such will now have full playing rights for that tour next season.

Luck completed his 72 holes with a final round of 67 in Chandler in Arizona today and although six shots behind the winner and event medallist, Lee McCoy, it is very much a case of mission accomplished for the 21 year old former US Amateur Champion.

Luck’s performance assures him of access to all events until at least the third reshuffle in the 2018 season as he pursues the right to play the PGA Tour in 2019.

While the news was good for Luck, for the remainder of the Australians in the field including the recent Australian Open winner, Cameron Davis, it was not.

Ray Beaufils, Brett Drewitt and Davis finished well outside the leading 45 players who would gain full playing rights for next year and will struggle to get starts based on their conditional only status.
