Curtis Luck leads Lake Macquarie Amateur

West Australian Curtis Luck who only five days ago was a losing finalist at the Australian Amateur Championship has maintained that form to lead the Lake Macquarie Amateur Championship at the Belmont Golf Club south of Newcastle.

Luck leads by one over Sydney golfer Isaac Noh after recording the best round of the day (65).

Noh's round of 69 was highlighted by an albatross 2 at the par five 4th hole.

Luck's fellow West Australian, Jarryd Felton, is one shot further back and alone in third position while the medallist at last week's Australian Amateur Championship qualifying Ryan Evans is in 4th position.

New Zealander Compton Pikari and Sydney's Jordan Junic are tied for 5th and four shots from Luck's lead.

First round leader and recent Australian Amateur Champion Tae Koh of New Zealand was twelve shots worse today, his round of 77 seeing him slip to a share of 9th position.
