Chile's Alvarado wins in Brazil

27 year old Chilean gofer, Benjamin Alvarado, has won his first event on the Web.Com Tour with a one shot victory over Dawie Van de Velt at the Brasil Classic presented by HSBC in Sao Paulo in Brazil.

Alvarado, who plays the PGA Tour's Latino America Tour on a regular basis and where he is a regular contender, now gains full status to play the Web.com Tour and the victory opens up the possibility of him becoming a PGA Tour member in 2014.

New Zealanders Tim Wilkinson and Danny Lee tied for 10th and led the Australasians while Aron Price did best of the Australians when he finished 14th.

The Web.com Tour now heads back to the US for the WNB Classic in Midland in Texas.
