Brad Kennedy wins second title in Japan

Queenslander Brad Kennedy might have this week missed out on an opportunity to add the 2013 Queensland Open Championship to the Queensland PGA Championship he won earlier this year but by winning his second career Japan PGA Tour title at the Kansai Open today he has more than made up for it.

With play on day four of the event near Osaka abandoned, Kennedy was able to hold on to his one shot 54 hole lead and win over Sung Joon Park while Kennedy's fellow Australian Aaron Townsend was alone in 4th position.

Kennedy' win, worth A$100,000 in this lesser purse event on the Japan Golf Tour, climbs him to 11th on the 2013 Japan Golf Tour money list.

It was Kennedy's second victory in Japan after his Mizuno Open win last year

Townsend's third round of 66 was the best of the day and moved him to 82nd on the money list as he chases a place inside the top 70 if he is to regain his playing rights there.
