Brad Kennedy tied for 2nd in Japan

Brad Kennedy shares second position three shots from the lead at the Japan Tour’s JGT Championship Mori Building Cup Shishido Hills 2018 in Ibaraki Prefecture, the Queenslander continuing a good record at this venue heaving been inside the top ten in each of his last four starts in the event including when runner-up in 2016.

Kennedy’s round of 67 today moved him from 7th overnight to his share of second and tomorrow he will attempt to chase down recent Kansai Open winner Ryuko Tokimatsu whose three consecutive rounds of 67 have him three clear.

Matthew Griffin and Brendan Jones are the next best of the Australians in a share of 19th place at 3 under and nine shots from the lead.

Anthony Quayle, Won Joon lee, David Bransdon, Michael Hendry and Scott Strange are other Australasians to have made the cut but are further back.
