Korean golfer Do Hoon Kim produced the best round of the day (64) during the second round of the ANA Open in Sapporo and has a one shot lead as the event heads into the weekend at the Sapporo Golf Club's Wattsu Course.

23 year old Kim has been runner-up on three occasions during his three seasons to date on the Japan Golf Tour including when runner-up in this event in his rookie Japan Tour season in 2010 but has yet to win. Kim leads over nine time Japan Tour winner, Hideto Tanihara.

Defending champion Kurt Barnes again displayed his liking for the venue with a second round of 67 to get within three of the lead and heads the Australasians.

New Zealander Richard Lee (38th) and Brad Kennedy (53rd) were the only other Australasians to make the cut in the A$1.3 million event.
