Bae leads Baddeley at Riviera

Korean golfer, Sang Moon Bae, gave further evidence of his liking for the famed Riviera Country Club in suburban Los Angeles by leading the Northern Trust Open through 36 holes.

Bae, the winner of the H.P. Byron Nelson Championship in Dallas last year, shared the lead in this event through 36 holes last year before finishing 8th so this is a layout that fits his eye.

Bae leads by one over Aaron Baddeley and Robert Garrigus, Baddeley the winner of this event three years ago while Garrigus has had little in the way of results when he has played Riviera previously.

Last year's runner-up Charlie Beljan is alone in 4th position.

Pre tournament favourite Dustin Johnson is another shot back and tied in 5th position with three other players.

Around thirty players will be required to complete their rounds tomorrow morning with the cut sitting on the bubble between even par and 1 over. Currently even par is in 70th position but how those remaining to complete their rounds finish off tomorrow will determine just who makes the cut.

Matt Jones is the second leading Australian in 15th position, Robert Allenby 34th, John Senden 40th, with Geoff Ogilvy and Stuart Appleby 56th.

Marc Leishman is currently one outside the cut-line although that may change tomorrow dependant on how those remaining on the golf course perform.
