The Travelers Championship at the TPC River Highlands has reached the halfway mark and Scott Langley leads by one over Harris English, K.J. Choi and Michael Putnam, Langley a former winner of the Texas Open recovering from a double bogey at his 11th hole today to take the 36 hole lead.

Langley missed the cut in his first appearance in the event last year but with 15 birdies over the opening two rounds he has turned last year's effort around.

Four players are one shot further back in a share of 5th position including a player who has been twice runner-up in this event, Ryan Moore.

The leading Australian at present is Aaron Baddeley who shares 10th position with one of the pre tournament favourites, Matt Kuchar.

Baddeley was one of only three Australians to have made the cut at last week's US Open and appears to be finding form having recorded rounds of 67 and 66 to be just four shots from the leader.

New Zealander Tim Wilkinson is in 13th position, former winner, Marc Leishman and Matt Jones 52nd while Stuart Appleby and Jason Day just made the cut in 69th position.

Oliver Goss, in his very first PGA Tour event as a professional having turned to the paid ranks only a few days ago, did not disgrace himself, finishing only two shots from the cutline.
