Australians Aaron Baddeley and Brett Drewitt have bounced back from the disappointment of the Web.Com Tour Finals to secure one of the four places available via Monday qualifying for this week’s PGA Tour season opening Safeway Open.

Baddeley and Drewitt finished outside the top 25 money earners from the Web.Com Tour Finals and therefore missed out of status on the PGA Tour for the 2018/2019 season but with both recording rounds of 7 under par 65 on Monday they will take their place in the field in Napa in California.

Baddeley, the winner of four PGA Tour titles, will play his 408th event on that tour while for New South Welshman Drewitt he will tee it up at this level for the 20th occasion having played the PGA Tour in 2017.

Baddeley and Drewitt will be joined in the field by fellow Australians Cameron Davis, Curtis Luck, Matt Jones and John Senden.

For Luck, the 2016 US Amateur and Asia Pacific Amateur Champion, and Davis, the current Australian Open Champion, this week’s event marks their debut as cardholders on the PGA Tour having gained the right to play through the Web.Com Tour Finals.

Much is expected of the talented pair who were also members of the successful Australian 2016 Eisenhower Trophy side.
