Cameron Davis, Matt Jones, John Senden and Rod Pampling are the four Australians to have made the weekend at the Shriners Hospitals for Children Open at the TPC Summerlin in Las Vegas, Davis at 4 under the best of the group.

Davis is playing just his third PGA Tour event after graduating via the Web.Com Tour finals and today after a slow start to his round put together four consecutive birdies before the turn.

He was unable to build on that in the run home and he finds himself in 50th position at and nine shots from the leader.

Senden, Jones and Pampling are at 3 under and have finished on the cut mark of 3 under.

Curtis Luck who only gained a start in the event late in proceedings missed the cut.

New Zealander Danny Lee is in 8th position at 8 under and five from the lead.

The leader Peter Uihlein has yet to win on the PGA Tour but has won on the European Tour when successful at the Maidera Island Open in 2013 and on the Web.Com Tour last year.

Uihlein leads by two over Robert Streb and Korean Whee Kim at the halfway mark
