The Australian Espirito Santo team has slipped three places to 14th at the completion of 54 holes at the Espirito Santo Trophy near Cancun in Mexico and any remote hope of successfully defending the title they won Japan in 2014 has disappeared.

The Korean side of Choi Hye Jin, Park Minji and Park Hyun Kyung have established an unassailable lead, the trio now fourteen shots ahead of their nearest rivals Switzerland.

In what has been a disappointing effort to date, Hannah Green leads the Australians on the individual leaderboard in a share of 22nd position while Robyn Choi is 39th and Karis Davidson 81st.
