The 141 woman field is spilt over the Al Maaden Golf Resort and Amelkis Resort courses over the first four days, playing two rounds on each of the courses. After 72 holes, a cut at 60 plus ties precedes the fifth and final round on the Al Maaden Golf Resort to decide the top 30 full cards plus ties on offer for the 2013 Ladies European Tour.
Canberra's Nikki Campbell has made the best start of the Australaisans with an opening round of 66 to be one shot from the lead held by Sweden's Isabella Ramsay.
Campbell, a former Australian Amateur Champion, has played the Japan Ladies Golf Tour since turning professional in 2003 but following a disappointing season in 2012 a decision was made to try and gain her card on the LET.
Campbell led the Australian Women's Open into the final round this year and has been a two time winner on the Japan Golf Tour in her career.
New Zealand Amateur Champion Emily Perry is in 25th position along with fellow New Zealander Cathryn Bristow and Victorian Breanna Elliott, Sarah King is 46th, Whitney Hillier 61st, Ashley Dewhurst and Katelyn Must 85th, Corrie Hou 116th, Sunny Park 124th and Tamara Johns 137th.
