The group make up nearly 200 players attempting to earn the right to play the Japan Tour.
The event is to be played over 108 holes with a cut made to the low 90 and ties at the completion of 72 holes.
While there are not set number of cards handed out to those successful, a player's ranking for 2013 is based on where he finishes this week.
Australasians in the field are; Scott Hend, James McLean, Matthew Millar, Richard Tate, Mike Hendry, Aaron Townsend, Ryan Haller, Adam Bland, Matthew Guyatt, Paul Spargo, Chris Campbell, Paul Sheehan, Neven Basic and Scott Barr.
The Japan Golf Tour played 25 events on its 2012 domestic schedule for total prize-money of Ã¢Â‚Â¬3.36 billion or A$40,000,000
